How to get the patch to work?

I have downloaded the patch and extracted it to the ICC 2002 directory but when i start the game everything is the same, can someone please tell me what i am doing wrong? And also what is included in the patch?

The patch just stops the game crashing at 2013

Does anybody know of a patch that includes competition updates and so on?

I already have the update of all the players.
