i have got this ___j.dll in my system32 folder...it executes ___n.exe and ___r.exe and ___sysmgr.exe. I have got norton antivirus that doesnot completely removes this dll....any help ??????? :hpraise

looks like some spyware..search the web for these file names and you should be able to find more details on removing etc.

Looks like it could be some type of browser hijacker or spyware, I had a 4hour battle on a friends PC with one of these, most spyware programs could find it but they could not remove. In the end I had to manually remove. If this is related to the About:Blank hijacker there will be another file with a .sys extention (you will probably have 2 copies of both files (at least)). These must be removed, also there will be registry entries relating to these 2 files, all must be removed. You may find you cannot delete these files because of sharing violations, to remove you need to start to the command prompt or recovery console. You could try something like Microsoft Antispyware, it should Identify. Even if it can't remove it might give us some clues on how to deal with it.

Also try Adaware and Adawareaway.

Is it causing your PC any problems or you just want to get rid of it? Cause it may just be a normal file...If it isn't, then it maybe spyware/adware as people here have suggested. In that case, download Ad-Aware, Spybot Seek & Destroy or even the new Microsoft Anti-Spyware Beta

also run : msconfig
and remove its entry from the startup tab.
A good way to stop its execution while you fix the issue is to remove its execute permissions ( make the RW perms to Deny in the file properties ).
If you delete the file, chances are more worms will get uploaded if these are indeed trojans or worms.
Download : MS Antispyware Beta, Spybot Search and Destroy and clean them.
Some steps make need you to edit your registry. Make a backup and be careful here.
Also, get rid of the Norton junk. Run online free virus scanner www.trendmicro.com and clean all your viruses.
