How to use Brett Lee

In Tests and ODI's i use him in 4 over spells but when opening the bowling he might take 2 wickets in the 3rd and 4th and im tempted to keep him on but i dont

How do you use Brett Lee or any other fast bowler for that matter?

5 over spells work well with Lee for me.

i actually give them 6 overs first spells than 4 over second spells. If getting wickets i will sometimes give them more.

dunno bout Lee but I only use Harmy in 3 over spells, starts getting expensive after that, Flintoff in 4/5 overs and Hoggard up to 7 can still be effective, best English seamer (untill Anderson has a couple of years tech traning anyway)

I open with Harmison and Hoggard. Harmison I usually give 6-7 overs, Hoggard can go a few more. if they are expensive, or dont take a wicket, they may come off earlier.

I play domestic more. Karl Dean usually gets through 9 in a spell, does well. If he is getting hammered, then he gets taken off. Rarely do my seamers bowl a second spell, a spin attack of Afridi, Islam (RIP), and North on a spinning wicket means seamers aren't really required...

no not really best was matthew hayden with a century but he doesnt count cause he was dropped 3 times on 2, 30, 87

i only use him to open the bowling with my surrey team, him and jimmy Anderson take a couple of wickets between them and then i usually bowl the opposition out on my heavily doctored spinning oval wicket using, munday, doshi and afridi, and then he opens the bowling when i enforce the follow on.

in my version, he left Northants after just one season, so naturally I signed him up for Somerset right away. Panesar is vital to my team, as Munday is usally busy playing for England!

7 over spells for fast bowlers,14 over spells for spinners,i stick to that plan religously

For me, as long as they're fit enough, I give pacers 9 over spells in tests and 5 overs in ODIs. Brett Lee isn't that good though so it's best perhaps give him 5 or 6 overs as he can become a bit expensive.
