Here's what I did:
1. Copied the BLC CD onto my hard drive.
2. Installed BLC from the hard drive.
3. Copied the D3DHigh.exe released by Codemasters for WinXP into my BLC directory. The file can be found here: http://cloud.prohosting.com/ghostbot/
4. Then I turned off sound acceleration by running the DirectX diagnostic tool by typing "dxdiag" into 'run' on the start menu.
I'm amazed it worked since I gave up on BLC ever working on WinXP a long time ago! Amazing!!! :P
The above steps may or may not work for you depending on your hardware. Here's a list of my hardware:
1Ghz Anthlon processor
256mb RAM
Soundblaster Live Platinum sound card.
Nvidia Geforce2 Mx/Mx 400
