ICC 2005 online One Day league:Bulletin No.1 released

Well I have sent jaztheman a PM about it. Hopefully he will take Pinchy's place, maybe with a different team, and hopefully carry on his season, starting with 4 points from two games. This means no games have to be replyed and that darn bulletin I spent forever on won't become obsolete. I'll just change "Sussex" sto whoever he takes charge of.

IF he does.

gary or jdeus

I'm going online now if either of you want a match (non-league of course)

Presumably that is if Jaz wants to join then yes.

Arent we drawn in the semis together though gary????

That should be a right battle royal!!!

Yeh I know I got to play treva again but I dont plan on losing! lol *gulps*

But its still true we are lined up for the semis!

I just hope my team can get itself into some form before then!

And have you thought about my idea for the cup rounds?? About how they should be played as 4 day games?

What happens if Jaztheman doesnt join the league by Friday???

Are we just going to play with 5 teams?

Jaztheman says something about his computer restarting so I dont think he has his team anymore!

So I doubt he'll be joining anymore! :(

So I guess we are going to get byes??

*sits alone in ICC 2005 board meeting room*

Hmmm, now I'm sure there are more teams than just me! Where are they all?

Oh well, nothing left but to turn to the drinks?! :cheers

Hope you guys get back soon! Week 3 is nearly up! And I presume I'm getting a bye!?

Talk to you all later if you get on.

Is there something I dont know about?

Hope you guys are back soon because its nearly the end of week 3!

Just try and play treva. The league is now 5 teams as jaztheman didn't enter. each team now gets a bye when they should have played sussex.

I don't know what else to say???

I'll try to biggls but no-ones around so its not easy to confirm times with them!

Has everyone else played their games?

If so, where the heck is treva?

great game and well played Jdeus but yes my first win :happy :happy :D :D

:cheers

Ian Balckwell and Ed Smith put on 147 together and Smith batted all the way through

Cup upset for Yorkshire.

A convincing win for Somerset just a week after their unlucky defeat to the hands of their cup opponents.

Somerset won through some great wicket taking. The openers barely troubled the scorers and Seth went for a mere 39. Megson battled and scored 58, scoring 19 off 5 balls in one over, however he was to be a victim in the amazing Hancock 2 over spell where he picked up 3 wickets. Perham and Corry both fell for single figures. Before Hills (43*) and Arlott battled hard, seeing off almost 20 overs, to bring the shellshocked Yorkshire side to a modest 212 for 8 after 50 overs.

Somerset however had a slow start and lost their 4 wickets relatively quickly. It was then once Smith (94*) and Blackwell (83*) got together at the crease that Somerset proved too strong for the Yorkshire bowlers.

Overall a well deserved victory to the Sabers who although looked like have given Yorkshire a life line by getting to 212 from 140ish were never too threatened once their killer partnership was in place.

Somerset now go on to the semifinals where they will face yet another Yorkshire beating side Lancashire.

Good game treva :clap
