Ok,As the title says I am gonna take Bangladesh on top of the world.
My first assignment is gonna be to try and win the T20 world cup.Wish me luck guys.Oh,yeah its on the normal difficulty level.

Bangladesh vs India Match 1:


Match preview

Bangladesh made a surprise inclusion as they took left armer Shafaq Al zabir wh in place of off spinner Abdur Razzak and Syed rasel.Another surprise inclusion is Junaid Siddique the talented t20 opener was put down the order and Mushfiqur Rahim will be opening in place of him.

India themselves made a very surprising inclusion they included Praveen kumar and left out their best seamer Zaheer Khan,the reason is still unknown.

Line ups-
Bangladesh:Tamim,Rahim(w),Ashraful,Mahmudullah,Naeem,Mehrab(jr),Shakib,Junaid,Sajidul,Mashrafe,Al zabir

India:Gambhir,Karthik,Yuvraj,Rohit,Raina,Dhoni,Yusuf,Jadeja,Irfan,Praveen,Harbhajan

India batting first:

India started off aggressively smacking Sajidul Islam over the ground,by the time Karthik departed,India were on top on 1/78,Shafaq al zabir got his first t20 international wicket.Yuvraj came in but Bangladesh didn't wait too long before getting there next strike,gambhir departed after a magnificent 81 of 41 deliveries consisting of 11 fours and 1 six.Gambhir's dismissal triggered yuvraj and he crushed Mashrafe with 6 fours in an over.Bangladesh were totally struggling as india were breaking through all of their bowlers spinners and pacers.The new captain Shakib al hasan then took a bold move giving the ball to junaid siddique and he came through dismissing the dangerous yuvraj singh as India were on 3/168.Shakib al hasan followed taking Rohit sharma out as India were on 4/180.And that was all that bangladesh could take as Dhoni and raina easily took India to over 200 at 209.


Bangladesh chasing 209:

Bangladesh didn't get a very promising start as the explosive Tamim Iqbal was dismissed at just 9 at the first over.Mohammad Ashraful came in and unleashed his fury as he smacked Praveen Kumar for 5 fours in an over.But as always Mohammad ashraful departed after making a start,Irfan pathan getting his second wicket as bangladesh were back on trouble,but little Mushfiqur kept fighting getting his 1st t20 international half century,Mahmudullah didn't help much as he was dismissed as bangladesh were on 3 for 109.And came in Naeem Islam,just after stepping in Naeem started his hitting smacking the spinners all over the place and getting to his half century.And finally the last over came.Bangladesh needed 10 runs,And in the last 2 balls it became 6 of 2 and 4 form Mushfiqur now it became 2 from 1 and the last ball,a nail biting situation,mushfiqur rahim drives and its just 1,rahim just managed 1 and the match ended in a TIE.India will be disappointed with this result,they had the game in the bag, but,mushfiqur and naeem took it away from them.



Match Summary:



A great game of cricket.Some might call this a miracle for Bangladesh.The man of the match no doubt went to Mushfiqur Rahim,the little wicketkeeper saved the game for bangladesh along with Naeem Islam.Now,we will see you again on 8th June that is when Bangladesh will fight Ireland.

Not bad at all. Bangladesh getting past 200 is a big achievement. I'm surprised that Ashraful actually made something. He never does in any of my Bangladesh games.

Islam should come in at 3 or 4, to be honest. He's an excellent batsman for limited overs.

Unrealistic? How did SA chase that 434? Unrealistic, isn't it? Sachin scoring a 200 in an ODI is also unrealistic.

Good start mate, just try your ideas and in the course you will definitely improve.

Sachin is the modern Bradman, while RSA are a pretty strong team. But what tag does Bangladesh have, except the Tigers and underdogs.

@qpeedore:I was lucky that ashraful,actually performed and in one over he smacked 5 fours,with no edges.I am thinking of putting naeem at no.4 and Mahmudullah at no.5.His 12 of 15 balls didn't impress me.I was even more surprised with rahim's performance.

@Bevab:In real life bangladesh have some quality players,with a lot of potential,(ashraful not included)they just don't know how to use it.But in there day,they rock. We will see what the so called underdogs do in the 2011 world cup.

Bangladesh vs Ireland:

The Big Picture:
This is going to be the game which will decide Bangladesh's fate in the world t20 cup.The Bangladeshi batsmen are on top spirits after they made 209 in the last match against India to tie the match up,but,the bangladeshi bowlers are a different story,specially the seamers,the best seamer being debutant Shafaq Al Zabir with figures of:
4-0-31-1 rpo7.75

the others being:

Sajidul Islam:4-0-47-0 rpo.11.75
Mashrafe Mortaza:3-0-44-1 rpo.14.67

One from Sajidul or Mashrafe will be axed in the next game and it is almost certain that it will be Mashrafe.For the replacement it is still is unconfirmed who will be the 3rd bowler for bangladesh from Syed Rasel and Abdur Razzak.As for Ireland,they will be playing their first game and will like to repeat their performance from the 2007 world cup when they crushed bangladesh.



Mushfiqur Rahim made a sparkling 89* against India,can he keep it up?

WATCH OUT FOR:
Mushfiqur Rahim was unstoppable against India as he led Bangladesh with his t20 career best of 89* achieving his first t20 int. half century along the way.Sajidul Islam will almost certainly get another chance,can he use it?That is up to him now.

Niall O'Brien is one of the leading batsmen in the English County championship.Much is expected from him and he will be looking for a solid start in the t20 world cup.

TEAMS:

Bangladesh most probably will make one change.Either Syed Rasel or Abdur Razzak will get a game,in place of Mashrafe,depending on the pitch.Naeem's batting performance should bring him up the order:

Toss:Bangladesh won the toss,and their captain Shakib Al Hasan chose to bowl first.Shakib said that he is confident his team will restrict Ireland to a low total. Ireland captain William Porterfield also said that he wanted to bowl first,but,he is very confident his team will repeat their performance from the 2007 world cup.

BULLETIN:On form Bangladesh,crushes Ireland

Ireland batting first:

Ireland didn't have the most sparkling of starts,Jonathan bray got dismissed by Sajidul Islam,right on his 4th delivery playing it on the off right to naeem islam.Shafaq Al Zabir wasn't behind at all as he dismissed the Irish captain,William porterfield for just 1,Ireland were in deep trouble.And it kept getting worse after 4 more economical overs by the Bangladeshi bowlers,Ireland were on tatters.Sajidul Islam came to bowl his last over,Botha was facing it and lost his concentration as he pulled one right to Mahmudullah,but,that was not all Sajidul produced in his last over,in came white,he went for a lofted one,missed it completely and the middlestump went flying.In the end of Sajidul' spell his figures stood:
4-0-30-3
Those figures spoke for themselves as all doubts about Sajidul's ability vanished in thin air.In came,Niall O'Brien to join his little brother Kevin who was looking quite settled.The duo smacked some good boundaries as there partnership kept growing.Mehrab was brought on to bowl,but he couldn't break the partnership.Kevin,smacked on straight and brought up his fifty in style.

Kevin O'brien's 69 was all that the Irish fans could cheer about

Syed Rasel,who was brought in for Mashrafe Mortaza,came in to his last over,niall drove one past rasel for a four,but,in the next ball,niall did a little bit of over hitting and lost his wicket for that mistake.Trent Johnston came in and smacked a few boundaries.And in came the 18th over,Johnston was on 17,Shakib came in to bowl,Johnston tried to defend one,it hit his pads and Shakib didn't miss the chance to shout "HOWZAT",and the umpire rose his finger and Johnston was back at the dressing room,McCallan came in and he stupidly smack it directly to Junaid.Al-zabir came in for the last over,Kevin tried to leg glance one and it hit his pads and the story was told,Connell came in and was dismissed for a first ball duck by Shafaq Al-Zabir.Shafaq had a chance to get a hat trick in the last delivery but Rankin defended it and Ireland's innings ended at 136.


Bangladesh chase 136

Unlike Ireland,Bangladesh started off well.Tamim Iqbal hitting some nice shots around the ground,Ireland's bowling was opened by Andre Botha which was one of the biggest surprises in today's game but it didn't help any for Ireland.But right after McCallan came in with his spin,Tamim went to the defensive side and while trying to defend one,the ball hit his pads and the umpire didn't hesitate to rise his fingers.After Tamim's dismissal,Bangladesh's run rate started to decrease.Ashraful tried for a leg glance of a Connell delivery,it hit his pads and Bangladesh lost another wicket.Naeem Islam was promoted in the batting order,but,he too was being troubled by the bowlers.Rahim on the other end just tried to keep his wicket and not give it away.Rankin came in and Naeem tried a cover drive at a quite wide delivery,edge,and Porterfield made no mistake.In came the bangladeshi captain Shakib Al Hasan.

Shakib and Rahim were the highest scorers for bangladesh today.
Rahim this time lost his temper and in quick succession hit 4 fours around the ground 2 of Rankin and 2 of Johnston.
Rahim was facing,Johnson bowled one middle length delivery,around the leg stump,Rahim went for a leg glance,it hit his pads and he was dismissed.The demoted Mahmudullah came in,Bangladesh were on pressure but Shakib and Mahmudullah handled the pressure exceptionally well.After some superb hitting from Shakib and some small contributions from Mahmudullah,the last over came.Andre Botha was bowling Shakib was facing,9 needed from the last over.Botha bowled a full one,Shakib defended it expertly,now it was 5 balls and 9 runs.Botha bowled it outside off and Shakib pushed it easily taking 2.4 balls 7 runs,Botha bowled short one this time and Shakib pulled it to the third man managing only one.Mahmudullah was facing now with 6 needed from 3,Botha bowled one around the leg stump,Mahmudullah expertly played it with brute force and the ball went for a 4.Now it became,2 of 2.Botha tossed a full toss,it was clear the pressure was getting to him and Mahmudullah made full use of it smacking straight for a boundary.Mahmudullah ran to Shakib and the Irish were just looking on disappointed as the could be.The shaking of hands followed as the players and umpires walked out of the field.

Match Summary and Presentations:

Bangladesh will be delighted with their result,although the match did go to the wire a win is a win.Ireland fought hard but their batting collapse always pushed them back.Mushfiqur Rahim kept up his form and Shakib Al Hasan played an all round knock to boost his team.But,the man of the match went to Sajidul Islam for his 3/30.The Bangladeshi captain Shakib Al Hasan said he was delighted especially for his bowlers and he wants Bangladesh's form to continue.The Irish captain Porterfield said that they can't get dispirited and that they will give it all in the match against India.
Next will be the super 8 draw after the group matches are finished.
