Just thought I'd make a thread on this.

Full Fixture/Results
Pepsi ICC World Cricket League 2010 Fixtures | ICC WCL 2010 in Netherlands - Yahoo! Cricket

Live Stream (LEGAL)
Cricket: ICC WCL Division 1 LIVE | ESPNSTAR.com

The live stream will show the Netherlands v Scotland game on 1 July, Canada v Scotland (3 July), Kenya v Afghanistan (5 July), Ireland v Canada (7 July), the Netherlands v Ireland (9 July) and the 10 July final.

By the way, just noticed that Tom Cooper's playing for the Netherlands in his second ODI, gone solidly so far, 80* and 87.

There are six teams playing in this league.

It's not being shown on the stream, read the first post.

The live stream will show the Netherlands v Scotland game on 1 July, Canada v Scotland (3 July), Kenya v Afghanistan (5 July), Ireland v Canada (7 July), the Netherlands v Ireland (9 July) and the 10 July final.

Oh, also the fact that the match wasn't on, the match finished after 50 overs because of rain, they're continuing tomorrow. But yeah, it's not being shown.

So Derek De Boorder is playing for Netherlands. I don't think he's played a game yet though. Is he injured or just not being picked?

Ireland eventually won the title by beating Scotland in the final.

Check out the impact that Tom Cooper made. He has made the most runs of the tournament for Netherlands and they still only grabbed the 4th place: Cricket Records | ICC World Cricket League Division One, 2010 | Records | Most runs | Cricinfo.com

Also Jonkman is the joint wicket taker, but it didn't help Netherlands much: Cricket Records | ICC World Cricket League Division One, 2010 | Records | Most wickets | Cricinfo.com

Afghanistan grabbing a third place is pretty good for them.

The most surprising is that Kenya didn't win any match: Points Table | ICC World Cricket League Division One | Cricinfo.com

Cooper has been a bit slow by his standards, hes usually an aggressive batter. But you can't deny his consistency.

Such a shame, Kenya should have been given Test status in 1999 as they were the best side outside of the Test nations at the time.

I believe in terms of all-time "shocks" at the World Cup, where a non-Test nation has beaten or tied with a Test nation, Kenya lead the way with four wins. I haven't included wins courtesy of forfeits either

World Cup "shocks"

Kenya (4) vs West Indies (1996), vs Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh (2003)
Ireland (2.5) vs Pakistan and Bangladesh (2007) and tied against Zimbabwe (2007)
Zimbabwe (2) vs Australia (1983) and England (1992)
Sri Lanka (1) vs India (1979)
Bangladesh (1) vs Pakistan (1999)
Canada (1) vs Bangladesh (2003)

Bangladesh have suffered three World Cup "shocks" although it is debatable whether they should count. I'm intrigued mainly by Canada's World Cup "shock" given they are the only side neither a Test nation nor an official ICC ODI nation either.

HowSTAT! ODI Scorecard

Canada (won toss) : 180 all out (49.1 overs)
Billcliff 42, Chumney 28, Maraj 24
Mashrafe Mortaza 2/38, Sanwar Hossain 2/26

Bangladesh : 120 all out (28.0 overs)
Hannan Sarkar 25, Sanwar Hossain 25
Joseph 2/42, Codrington 5/27, Davison 2/15

Canada won by 60 runs

To put that into perspective, it is Canada's only win at a World Cup and they've lost the other eleven. Holland and UAE also boast one World Cup win, but Holland's was a win over Namibia in 2003 and UAE beat Holland in 1996.
