I am playing as Surrey and after my CC game agst. Middlesex got over, I was going thru the other matches when I found a REAL BIZARRE thing.
Here it is :
From 14th June to 17th June, Vaughan is playing for Yorkshire in a CC game :
And on 17th June, Vaughan is playing the First ODI agst. visiting Bangladesh :
Looking further into this matter :
On 14th June, Warwicks get bowled out after batting for 78 overs. Then Yorkshire bat for about 118 overs which means they might have got bowled out at end of Day 2 ( 15th June ).
On 16th June, Warwicks bat for about 95 overs and get bowled out. Yorkshire perhaps might have batted for about 10 overs. ( Overall Yorks took about 23 overs to reach the target )
On 17th June, Vaughan is batting in the First ODI agst. Bangladesh and at the same time...Poor guy....doubles himself up
and is batting there at some other ground to get the required runs agst. Warwicks.
Perhaps, the only Perfect Logic to this bizzare thing might be, the 4 dayer might have ended in a 3 day affair on June 16th itself and Vaughan playing the ODI on June 17th but I feel this might not be the case in this game. If so, even Scott Newman might have played for my Surrey team on June 14th and doubled himself up
for the ODI agst. Bangladesh. Instead, Newman was taken away from my team on June 11 itself.
As I noticed S.Newman, K.Pieterson, J.Anderson did not figure in their respective county matches on Jun 14 but they played the England match.
I have seen in real cricket many years back in our Ranji Trophy games, a Dravid or a Laxman deserting
their respective state sides on the 4th day of the match and rushing to join the Indian team as a sudden reinforcement.
And for those of you who might be thinking it might as well be 2 different Vaughans....even thats not to be -
Amidst all this Bizarre happenings, I totally forgot to enjoy my 268 run win agst. Middlesex.
