2nd ball

Afridi smackes pathan for a big six

next ball pathan bowls the yorker afridi manages to keep it out

butt played sensibly got a few singles and was looking
very defensive. on the other hand afridi has smacked
2 sixes and 1 four. pakistan had made 43 after 15 overs

afridi missed one that shaved his off stump by
a whisker khan was very dissapointed . it was
time to change the tactics kumble and singh
worked from both ends but they couldn't get
the breakthrough they were looking for.
next ball kumble bowled a googly that hit
afridis leg inline but the umpire turned it down
luck going pakistans way. the breakthrough
came for india just before lunch.

pakistan got off to a flyer after lunch getting 50 runs
off 10 overs . Salman butt hit 6 4s and0 6s. Y Khan
started to play along quite well and got settled
into the crease. Nothing seemed to work for india
as pakistan cruised past 150 with just 1 wicket down.
tendulker was brought on but Y khan hit him for 4
first ball it was getting from worse to worser for
india. Ganguly through pathan the ball whos
second ball of his new spell got younis khan out.

Inzi got of to a flyer straight away and started
by hitting to sixes against pathan. Z khan wanted
a wicket but tried a bit too hard and bowled 4
no-balls in a row Salman butt got his hundred
off 145 balls.

pakistan passed 200 in no time and started to look
on top at tea as the players went in for a quick break
S Butt and inzi had a good partnership going.
but for india it was a disaster. No one had taken over
the game. Ganguly didn't act like a captain at all
he had a word with us earlier.

Ramiz: So ganguly it hasn't been your day so far
has it.

Ganguly: no it hasn't but if we can pick up a few
more wickets after tea we might have
a chance but we really need to work as
a team to stop pakistan.

Ramiz: That was surav ganguly.
