The BCCI had invited bids for the indian cricket rights for the telecast of all international mathces to be played in india from oct 2004 to sep 2007.5 tv channels competed in the bid.amon gthem were
Doordarshan $113million
Set Max $ 143million
Tensports $146mn
But the real fight was betw espnstar and zee. ESS had bid for 240$ while Zee was $260.
Finallly BCCi awawrede the rights to Zee

But then ESS dragged the BCCi into the court saying that Zeee ahd not even telecast the a single live match in india.Th e court told Zee to hold a board meeting to decied whether to bid again or not.Both teams would submit their bids to the mumbai high court which would decide the winner
