iTunes Problems

IM REALLY ANNOYED!! i had over 3000 songs but when i went to open iTunes it said it was damaged and it now only has 1300. is there a way to fix this? because i still have the songs on my ipod

is there a reason this happens?

I don't use iTunes, but here's something that I found while searching on google, so check if this somehow helps you.
