The cricket website market is congested, with Planetcricket.net taking all the thunder for cricket video games and Cricket Web being known as a 'comprehensive' place for discussion of cricket in general. So, how might a new cricket forum come in then? I must admit, I was thinking the same thing. Then it hit me- most new members these days are youngsters hoping to make it big in the sport one day.

I am one of these youngsters. With two and a half years experience in cricket at club level, I feel I could share a few tips but also take some advice along with it. I'm a bowler, and the most lethal delivery in a bowler's armour would be described as a 'Jaffa'. There's the Unique Selling Point and name, rolled into one.

Jaffa (www.jaffa.co.nr) is a new forum run by yours truly, with emphasis on cricket coaching as well as forums for general cricket and a bit of chit-chat. Now, I may have a bad reputation in the web designing front, but I feel I have matured quite a bit since I because webmaster for upcoming cricket game The Cricket Project, so please, please give me a go.

By the way, I'm looking for a stylish logo featuring Duncan Fletcher and the text 'Jaffa' on it, in size 162*52 pixels. The entry I like best will be placed at the very top of all pages at Jaffa.

This could be the start of something special- and you could be part of it right from the off. :)

Looks awesome. Have joined, its much better than any other startup forum ive seen advertised on this forum. I suppose thats because it actually has a unique selling point.

:clap

Looks good SkateBoarder. I like how you have got cricket coaching on the site.

Good work :clap

Thanks for the support- Ive got in touch with a few people and could get a few competitions and interviews on the site soon.

I would like to apologise to everybody that registered at Jaffa, but I am afraid that the website has been 'hacked' by somebody I trusted to be an administrator. This person has suspened my account and I have no access to anything. :(

I will be designing and launching Jaffa again in the coming days, if you are willing to register again and support me. I am sorry. :crying

Is he the only admin at the site apart from you?

It turns out that the other administrator had been testing the suspension feature and used my account to do that, then went out and forgot about what he had done. I've cleared all this up with him now and I'm back. Please go to www.jaffa.co.nr!!

We are now on Planetcricket's top site list too!

Nice to see that the mishap was cleared up Lee.
Now why in hell would he ban 'your' account for testing purposes?! Why not create a fake account an ban that? ;)
A bit of insider trading I must say!

That makes a hell lot of sense. Lee, not sure if you can trust this guy - either he is very shrewed or very stupid. (or perhaps both  ).

No, it was just a misunderstanding. It's fine.

Some of you may have heard that Jaffa was 'hacked' earlier today- we can now confirm that it was an awful misunderstanding and Jaffa is going nowhere.
Googly had banned an old account of mine to test the banning system- but unwillingly banned my IP address too, causing me to be blocked from getting onto the site!
I was under the impression that I had been hacked and Googly had decided to take over Jaffa for himself- but he really just went out and forgot to unban me. I can now say that Jaffa has been 'Unhacked'!

In other news, we are now in the Top Sites list at well-known cricket website Planetcricket- you can now access it from our affiliates box at the bottom left of the homepage.

The above is news I posted today on the homepage!
