I have 90 days free Norton.. takes alot of space.. and i'll get nod after i run out of norton trial.

Has anyone tried Panda AV and if yes tell me how is it

I find avast to be the best. Its free, uptodate virus definitions, lightening fast but not compromising on the security. The reason is that the organisation behind the software is a paid one as the office versions are to be paid for. This is the reason for the continous updates and quality of software. It probably has the lowest size of updates in the universe also! (About 50-400 kb)

What you say a right but I doubt it can detect all the viruses which a paid software does. and don't forget it has not been awarded VB 100% (only the pro version has)

Well it competes pretty well with all paid softwares. A test revealed that once in a test avast! was able to find a virus Kaspersky could not! I'm telling you again - its good because there's a paid and well established organisation behind it.
