Not by Width and Length - But by kb.

30 kb gives us nothing fir animated avatars.

And 60 kb for Sigs gives us not enough room for high quality animated sigs!

Not for me. Animated signatures and avatars can take ages to load up and draw attention away from the post. We're not here to look good, we're here to talk cricket!

It is fine as it is. Personally, I don't like animation, asks for too much attention. Therefore, for static sigs and ava's the sizes are fine at the moment imo.

The sig and avtar are just a pic and not animation. Do you animate your real life signature. Also i believe that the quality of the written part or text is of higher importance in the forums anywhere

I really think that we should go with the standard forum size limit in most forums i visit-500x200.
Still not that humongous, but i think 300x100 is just way too tiny!

This thread is about size (of file) of sigs and avas rohait lol ;). But anyway, even though I enjoy making graphics, and find that 500x200 is an easier size to work with, I find that 300x100 makes the forum look more neat and professional. So personally, I believe the sizes are fine as they are.

Do the avatars that aren't 100 X 100 get filled in with white to make it 100? Sorry if this has been mentioned before but its happened to mine and it looks a lot worse because of it. Is it just my picture? I'm sure I've seen it on a couple of ther sigs too

Just make the picture transperant in photoshop.

Or you must have put the picture on a white background in paint or something.
