Just wondering to all the gamers out there if they have any good suggestions? Got the 2 week holidays coming up and I wouldnt mind spending a bit of time on my 360. I normally play sports games, but looking for a decent action/adventure/shooter etc.

I liked GoW, but not Halo so much. Thinking Bad Company 2 maybe? Or I was also looking at The Godfather. Not sure though, so would just like some suggestions of games you guys rate :)

Meh for all. Have AC1, thought it was okay but not looking for a sequel (I dont have many games and wanna try different ones out). I don't have COD6 or any COD's, not sure if I do want it. I'm looking at maybe getting it though.

Bad Company 2, the best modern war simulator available today

Is that good enough to keep someone who's not a massive car fan occupied for hours and days and weeks etc?

I bought it after playing Forza 2 which kept me occupied. Download the demo and see if you like it

AC1 was seriously nothing compared to ACII. Its amazingly good and even people I know who didn't really enjoy the first loved it. One of the best sequels ever.

I'd also highly recommend Mass Effect.

Though if you're looking for something fun that doesn't require a lot of commitment I'd go with Arkham Asylum. Not exactly new anymore but a ton of fun. Uncharted is the most fun ever but its PS3 only unfortunately.

Thanks for your suggestions. I don't have as much money as I thought I did, so I cant get ACII or BTBC2 just yet. I'll probably get one of those with birthday money in a few months.

EB games are having a sale with pre owned games for $25 each. Im looking at getting 1 or 2. The list is pretty good and has titles such as GoW2, COD4, Bioshock and Mass Effect. I'm thinking GoW2 and COD4 or Mass Effect and COD4.

Hard to go past GoW2 for me though because I enjoyed the first game and a part of me wants to continue the story.

Matt just save your money until you have enough to buy one of the newer games. GOW2 and COD4 are really old now, and you might as well wait a bit longer and get something recent.

Well, I probably won't be getting any money until my birthday anyway, where I will buy BFBC2 or ACII with money I get from that. And because it's my 16th, I start getting youth allowance. I think my parents will give me $60 or so of the youth allowance, which we get every fortnight. So I can save up from there. And I probably wouldn't get a new game after my birthday for a couple of months.

I would actually go as far to say that AC II had a better story mode than Uncharted 2. This is coming from someone who didn't play the first. But the value in the multiplayer of Uncharted 2 is better, and there's nothing to do in AC II after you finish the story, as there's no online or extra difficulty modes, and I've heard the DLC's weren't the best.

Batman was also brilliant, purely because of the fact that it was a licensed game that was completely awesome. GOTY edition coming out soon as well (but only comes with free DLC and 2 payed ones). But it was irritatingly short, and the Challenge Rooms IMO got old fast.

So considering the fact that you won't be getting many more games any, time soon, I would say rent AC II and Arkham Asylum, or better, get each for a week at EB Games, then return them for a full refund. Then, get something like BC 2 or ME 2.

Once you get Bday money... You should seriously consider Red Dead Redemption, bound to be a classic Western game, with tonnes of longevity even in the story.

I'm guessing you have PS2 and 360? I wouldn't get a PS2 game tbh, and I'm amazed that GoW 2 would cost $25 pre-owned, that's surely atleast $10 a bit high.

And don't get The Godfather II, it was terrible, the first was OK, but in any case, wait for Mafia II.

Lots to choose from really.

Get Forza 2 or Forza 3, best racing simulations ever. Season play on FM3 is easy to get into and i'll donate you a very nice Ferrari FXX when I get it to level 5.
