People say they can't believe that the parents could kill their child but the stats I have seen indicate they are actually the most likely. For example I believe in homicides involving children under 1 years old 80% of the time the killer is one or both of the parents.

Exclaimer: This is not intended as proof that the parents did it in this case but that it is alot more common then people seem to want to think.

However irresponsible the parents, I can't see them killing their own kid, and then covering it all up.

Well, it seems that the evidence is piling up against the McCanns. When I started this thread, I kept saying they were innocent. Since then, my opinion has changed and I think they may have killed their daughter.

Word.

Either way, if they left a four year old by herself, they are at the very least, terrible parents. If they have killed their own daughter, it is nothing short of reprehensible and they should receive the highest penalty available.

However, I'm going to reserve judgement until everything becomes a bit more clear.

To be fair, they were (or at least this is what I've heard claimed) only just down the street and checking up on her every half hour - this is going far, far further than I'm sure many parents do on holiday. If they are innocent, they were very, very unlucky. If they are guilty, this is all irrelevent anyway.

Please note I'm not condoning their actions either way. But if they are telling the truth, then calling them irresponsible parents is a little harsh.

Their parents would. They KILLED her!

Blood in the boot....Obvious to me. That's enough evidence for me, if I were the judge they would be jailbirds.

Why did they 'take' Madeleine and not the twins?
How did the kidnappers stop Madeleine from making a lot of noise?

As has been said before most children killed/kidnapped are done so by their family, be it parents, uncles, aunties, etc.

And they are doctors, they have the knowledge about the body etc. Its like Harold Shipman i guess.
