making shine on an old ball

does anyone know any way to make shine on an old ball (im not going to use it in a match or anything) i have an old ball that has lost the shine, ive been using a towel and spit but it doesnt get shiney anyone have any tips? thanks

furniture polish and a cloth. illegal to use but comes up nicely

Vaseline petroleum jelly and a bottle top usually do the trick!!!
