Wondering how I reached this assumption? Read this- BCCI President wanted franchise auction postponed

I'm really getting sick of all this internal politics. And I don't think I might be wrong in second-guessing the BCCI President's motive. Sharad Pawar had backed the Pune franchise off-the-record and Ahmedabad is sure to get one on the money and fan power alone. With just 2 franchises on sale and both almost fixed, it was a bit of cheap masterstroke played to delay the auction.

As if the zillion matches which take place in Nagpur are not enough to gratify his ego. :facepalm

What a laughing stock this is becoming. Sheesh! :facepalm

PS- Have nothing against Nagpur or people from there, I just want the darn process to be transparent. And I may be wrong in my assumption. But I hate the way this situation has been handled.

I was bout to post this, the moment I saw the Cricinfo article. Definitely, Shawsank Manohar wanted a Nagpur franchisee.

Given the way things were going,it was apparent that Pune and Ahmedabad would have got it.

But,this is really cheap.

And what you are saying is right- Pawar will go for Pune, after all he is from Baramati-part of the Pune district.

Sad ! Internal politics in the BCCI.
