After a successful 2015 World Cup campaign, the confident New Zealand cricket team, also known as BLACKCAPS, back to the most popular T20 tournament NatWest Island Games XVI 2015. Currently ranked 7th in T20 format, Brendon McCullum sees the tournament as an opportunity to climb up the ranking. He will lead the BLACKCAPS alongside the VC, Kane Williamson.​

UPDATE: The British Isles have announced their 15 player squad for the upcoming Games including the shock return of an English great.

KEVIN PIETERSEN RETURNS TO LEAD BRITISH ISLES

The British Isles selection panel have today announced the shock return to international cricket of Kevin Pietersen, who will lead the United Kingdom representative team in the upcoming Natwest Island Games.

The 35 year old veteran has scored the most international runs of any English player in history and has represented England in 37 T20i matches since debuting in 2005 amassing 1176 runs at an average of 38 and a whopping strike rate of 142.

Domestically Pietersen has represented a number of T20 franchises around the world over during his stellar 130 game career.

End of every round total points will be calculated for each team
A team can get a maximum of 18 points in a round

Based on the points table for each round medals will be given

i.e. First - Gold
Second - Silver
Third - Bronze

At the end of the tournament the top two teams with most number of medals will play in the finals.
