Hello all, this is a rugby union story about the Neath Swansea Ospreys. I shall be using Pro Rugby Manager 2, a now redundant title. The Neath Swansea Ospreys play in three (quote me if im wrong) competitions on this game they are:

- The Celtic League (now Magners League)
- The Heineken Cup (Europen Cup)
- The Celtic Cup

My season aims shall be to qualify for the following year's Heineken Cup. If I can succesfully do that, I will be looking to win the Magners' League. Doing well in the Celtic Cup would be an added bonus.

As far as I am aware this is the first rugby UNION story. The standard of stories has improved dramatically since I started making them and the two rugby league ones on this site are fantastic. I will try to do aswell as them (if possible).

I hope you enjoy my story. More soon...

OSPREYS WELCOME NEW MANAGER TO CLUB

Today the chairman of the Ospreys, Deniol Rhyudd Jones, welcomed new manager Rhys Williams and praised him for his past experience. Rhys has previously worked with welsh league clubs up and down the country but wanted a step up onto the regional stage.

Here is the email that Rhys Williams received:

OSPREYS ANNOUNCE NEW SPONSOR - VERY SWISS BANK:

The Neath Swansea Ospreys have announced a one year deal with the bank worth 245,103 GBP.

Ospreys manager, Rhys Williams, who accepted the offer, said that the extra cash over the coming year will be an added bonus to the already decent financial situation that the club is in.

Regular Ospreys player and Wales international Gavin Honson (the game has those annoying namechanges!) has announced that his girfriend, Charlotte Church is 3 months pregnant.

good on you for getting your first sposer, keep up the good work mate:)

OSPREYS LOOK AHEAD TO NEW SEASON:

Ospreys manager, Rhys Williams, announced his aims for the forthcoming season with Neath Swansea Ospreys.

He gave these aims:

+ To fight for first place in the Magners League
+ To try and reach the knockout stages of the Heineken Cup.
+ To try and get a good run in the Celtic Cup.

He also mentioned that every player in the squad would be a vital part of the club during the course of the season. Everybody is likely, yet not certain to get a game and if someone is not in form, let alone of their credentials, they may not play.

Ospreys play Leinster in the first match of the season on the 5th September 2004 at Lansdowne.

SCRUM V LIVE: LEINSTER v OSPREYS: 5th SEPTEMBER 2004

Eddie Butler, the host of Scrum V enters, along with Johnathon Davies, another promenent Welsh figure...

EB: So then Johnathon, what do you think the Ospreys can produce tonight against a formidable Leinster side that has previously won this league (in its older form).

JD: I think the Ospreys have the ability, and the manpower, to pull off a brilliant victory here tonight. With Welsh internationals such as Gavin Honson, I am sure that they can edge out a very fierce and competitive Leinster side.

EB: What do you make of the Ospreys new manager, Rhys Williams?

JD: I believe that he will bring alot to the Ospreys. Ex-coach, Lyn Jones, did a fantastic job yet has not fulfilled his potential. Rhys is a young, good looking chap who will hope to impress not just Swansea, but the whole of Wales and the world in his first managerial season.

EB: Over to you Gareth Charles in the comm. box!

GC: Well welcome to an exciting and important match for the Neath Swansea Ospreys - what can we expect from a new team with a new manager? Would it be a first success, or a first failure...
