Need advice to repair my bat.

i just noticed a the little wood coming off my bat. I don’t what to call in words but I will post a picture, can someone Advice me how to fix it.

I'm not a bat expert but patch it up a bit perhaps, if it is a tennis ball bat. It isn't significant, but if it is a hard ball bat then leave it alone, if it is a tennis ball bat I would just recommend to patch up the area with tape.
It doesn't seem to be that bad.
