sounds similar to something i had. i work with windows 2000, not sure about u tho. For me i managed to fix it by simply messing with my graphics card drivers, so heres your 3 steps to try:
1. Download the LATEST graphics card drivers for your card. I cannot stress the importance of this with 3d games. With some cards if you play a 3d enhanced game and then a non-3d enhanced one, the card can automatically ajust its mode without u knowing to 2d. thus when u go to play cricket again, it will not work. So upgrade these first.
2. If this does not work, uninstall and reinstall cricket making sure that all is gone of it before reinstalling. Use add-remove programs in control panel for added surity.
3. At last resort reformat your drive and start again.
There u go, give it a shot.
