New Base Averages

With the new season coming up, it is time to announce a major change in the base averages for season 2008. Because all-rounders are often terrible ingame, we have decided to make the averages of pure batsmen and bowlers, as well as making keepers slightly worse at batting than batsmen, worse, in order to make all-rounders more desirable.

Old Averages:
Pure Batsman/Keeper: 45/99
Batting AR: 35/35
Pure AR: 30/30
Bowling AR: 25/25
Pure Bowler: 20/15

New Averages:
Batsman: 41/99
Keeper: 38/99
Batting AR: 35/35
Pure AR: 30/30
Bowling AR: 25/25
Pure Bowler: 20/20

This means that suddenly, when everyone has finally figured out that the Bitters are so good because we have only one all-rounder, it will open up the competition more as all teams try and find the best balance for each form of the game.

If players wish to change their player types as a result of these new averages, you may post your wish in here, or in your team thread, meaning that your managers will have to post a new complete team list after determining if any new changes will take place.

The fixtures for next season will be announced shortly.

Sorry I just like to be what I actually am in real life, I know the Bitters have a history of no all rounders but after how poor my bowling has been for Aus i thought i might try this to get a re build

What the heck mate, you got 5 points, you were equal 3rd I think. You bowled pretty good.

Good point, but didn't we re-do the averages for Tests? I was owning ODI's then sucked at Tests.

The pitches gave your slightly improved stats more of an advantage

Besides most of the top players were bowlers.

Stats weren't changed between series, and the players were the same, just converted over.

But they will be 'rebuilt' anyway for the new season.
