I think Sangakkara is not playing as a wicketkeeper. you should add him as batsman.
Sanga is not wicketkeeping for tests.

Ok, thanks for that info. I will fix it.

He will have to be kept as Wicket Keeper as well because some will have already selected him.

Im really looking forward to watching our new top order play. At last NZ cricket has chosen specialists for their roles. Great to see Sinclair back at no3, he should have been back a year ago.

Jamie How is a good prospect who can take the attack to the opposition, Cumming is more defensive and likely to try and bat thru the luncheon interval, similar to how Mark Richardson used to bat.

Sinclair will be aiming to put a big total on the board, i expect big things from him, as long as NZ cricket sticks by him. He has 2 double centuries and a 150 to his name in relatively few matches. He did have some technical difficulties which he seems to have addressed.

Fleming has been in pretty good nick with the bat recently and should only get better as the season progresses.

With no Scott Styris to bolster the middle order, Astle will have to really start coming to the party or he could be the next to feel the axe (he was dropped last year but re-emerged with some strong performances when brought back due to others' injuries).

Oram continues his good work in the lower middle order and provides good value with an average in tests near 50. He will also add value with the ball.

Vettori might be more at home using his flight to good advantage on home wickets. He is also a very handy batsman lower down the order and has averaged somewhere around 45 in the last 18 months.

Ian O'Brien could be the dark horse of the test side if they pick him over Mason and Franklin. He has run into a purple patch of form recently, even though he did not perform in his first outing for NZ a couple of seasons ago.

Bond, Martin and Oram will be the main 3 bowlers backed up by vettori and either Franklin, OBrien or Mason.

Its a real shame Mills is out, because he has really been the number 1 bowler for NZ in the last 18 months with Bond regaining form after numerous setbacks.

I hope this helps give a little insight into the NZ players who should feature more prominently, and helps with your selections.

good luck fellas!

Sinclair got those centuries from domestic cricket? And any idea what the New Zealand line up will be? And I also was looking where Mills where was listed in the squad, till I read that he was injured.

The Sri Lanka team will be much easier to predict, since it's basically most of the times the same.

I wish now I had now as captain. He has already three wickets by now. I had no idea who to pick as captain and just selected him, but he made only 8 runs. And I didn't expect Franklin to play, otherwhile I would have chosen him.

cant believe jayawardena chose to bat! The wicket is got a greenish tinge and its overcast, that was a brave call. The wicket will be great for batting on day 2 and 3 and 4.
