The 2004 -05 Pura Champions start another season with the hope of continuing there could form from the previous season. The Pura Cup consists of a 4- day match in which each State is played, along with this is the ING Cup which is the One Day format consisting of 50 over games.

PURA CUP POINTS SYSTEM
- 4 Day Matches
- Unlimited overs
- 2 Innings per side
- No Ball penalty - 1 run
- Wide ball penalty - 1 run

Outright win after 1st Innings win - 6pts + 1st Innings pts

Outright win after 1st Innings Tie - 6pts + 1st Innings pts

Outright win after 1st Innings Loss - 6pts + 1st Innings pts

Tie where both teams complete two Innings - 3pts + 1st Innings pts

1st Innings lead - 2pts

Outright Loss after 1st Innings lead - 2pts

Outright loss after 1st Innings Tie - 1pts

Draw - 0 pts + 1st Innings pts

The Two teams with the highest aggregate of points at the end of the season play in the PURA CUP FINAL in which the 1st placed team is the host, unlike the other Pura games, it is played over 5 days.

- Fielding Restrictions apply
- Bowler Over limit apply
- No Ball penalty is 1 run
- Wide Ball penalty is 1 run
- Free Hit rule applies for Front Foot No Balls.

Bonus Points awarded fi Team finishes with a runrate 1.25 times that of the oppositions
