On Saturaday, Rahul Dravid was selected in the Indian team in a way forcefully due to the injuiry of Yuvraj Singh.He may have been selected due to the swinging pitches in England on which most Indian Batsman except for him are struggling to play on.He also announced his retirement from ODIS AND T20S saying that he would retire from the shorter versions of the game after the England tour as he wants to concentrate on Test matches.
The other surprises were the dropping of Harbhajan Singh though reports say that he would be fit for the ODI series and the other was the inclusion of Vinay Kumar ahead of S.Sreeshanth though Sreeshanth performed well in the 2nd Test.
Kris Srikanth said that this is the best possible squad that could be selected at the moment and was quite sure India would come back strongly after a poor start to the England Tour.
