Vettori and Patel Restrict India to a very low score

As soon as the session two began, it was Chris Matrin, who bowled exceptionally well in the first over. Vettori took the charges from the second over after the lunch, and was on money right from his first over. He bagged two wickets, of Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina, the latter for a golden duck and went on to bowl a hat-trick ball. Unfortunately, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who came frontfoot to defend, circumscribed Vettori from bagging a hat-trick, but he defended perfectly. Cheteshwar Pujara, who was looking well at the other end, fell to Jeethan Patel. Harbhajan Singh joined MS Dhoni, and they couldn't stand for much time either. MS Dhoni gave his wicket away to Daniel Vettori in the next over, as Ravi Ashwin joined his senior Harbhajan Singh.

They both tickled for an over with few blind boundaries and ran for few singles and twos and after that it was Harbhajan's 2 minute maggie ready in the pavilion as he walked back after falling to Jeetan Patel. Zaheer Khan joined Ravi Ashwin, and it was a mess up as Ashwin was run out after creating a mess up by "calling for a run- sending back and then running without intimation" activity by Ashwin. Zaheer Khan was the last man to get out, with Ishant Sharma in the non strikers end. It was notable that all the wickets excepting Kohli and Ashwin were LBW's, three to Jeetan Patel and two to Daniel Vettori.

Kiwis should be really happy with this collapse in the batting as restricting India to 121 is phenomenal, considering the start what India got. With spinners being advantageous, India will look on to start with spinners. Harbhajan Singh, Ravi Ashwin v New Zealand batsmen. It is a game on.

121 ao? Wow, that's a massive massive advantage for the Kiwis. Indians might have to pay for the ridiculous batting effort.

Haha, that's an incredible middle - lower order collapse. We've got a pretty long batting line-up with Vettori coming in at eight, so even if they only bat averagely they should still be able to get a good first innings lead.

Didn't expected this pathetic display from the lower middle order and the batsmen that followed. That said. NZ should get at least 50-70 runs even if they don't bat up to their capability.
