I just read somewhere that STAR CRICKET has now lauched 10 new archival shows including one on the 1996,1999,2003 and 2007 World Cups which they will be featuring over the next couple of months and a show on Champions Trophy Classics.

They have started with the 1996 World Cup archival footage and a special on Pakistan`s route to 1999 WC Final last week. Did anyone see it?
I guess they`ll be aired on Saturdays and Sundays.
I have always wanted to watch footage of the 1996 WC as I have not seen much of highlights from that event.It was a fun World Cup, much better than 2007.

Unfortunately, my cable guy feels that the ICL is more important to him and I get Zee and TEN SPORTS on my TV along with NEO .I will start getting STAR CRICKET only after the ICL nonsense ends.

If you feel so, its your opinion but I feel we are heading towards a T20 overkill.

Set Top boxes were supposed to be made mandatory last year but for some reason faced opposition from the Cable operators union and hence the rule was`nt applied to the suburbs.It is however mandatory in South Mumbai, if Iam not wrong.

We do have the SITICABLE set top box facility,though.
Iam seriously contemplating going for TATASky or BigTV. Does anyone know about BigTV ? I have`nt heard any favourable reviews of BigTV.

TataSky rocks. It's so awesome, the quality is far far better then the Setbox. I have two sets of grandparents in Chennai, one with the Setbox and one with TataSky. TataSky simply OWNS it.

Plus, it's cheaper.

Anyways, my parent's place in India has both Tata Sky and DishTV, and between the two the former is better. Although you need both because Dish does not have Neo Sports (shows Serie A and Bundesliga) while Zee Sports (not on TataSky) shows a Champions League games. My parents have also retained the set-top box from the cable provider, and for some reason on that they get SuperSport 1,2 and 3 which cover a wide variety of sporting events. They also get RealMadrid TV in English, which is really awesome.

Champions League games are shared between Zee and Ten.

Tata Sky rocks man. I was in India in january and Tata sky had a good offer. I believe it was free for the first 6 months. I was able to watch majority of Australian domestic 20/20 competition + india aus tests + i had neo sports, 10 sports, zee sports. Cricket Channels in India rocks :happy:hpraise

Yes mate it is definitely T20 overkill right now mate that's why StarCricket has brought this show of classics mate..
