Pause game issue

Hey guys i currently have ashes 09 for pc. I am running vista. When i am playing a match and i hit escape to pause or go to menu nothing happens any suggestions?

In your manual it should tell you which button to press: do you have a manual? Alternatively think of which letter it might be......I spy with my little eye something beginning with.......

P is used for pause......takes some getting used to esp if ur playing cricket 07...Awesome game btw! Takes some practise though
