Can someone explain how members are nominated for these awards and the winner is selected? Do members vote for them or just the staff members select them?

For someone to be nominated in a category, he must get voted then seconded by the PC members. At the end of voting staff can add and remove people from categories, but no drastic changes.

Then a final list is made and theres a voting page which is pretty much one massive poll. Hard to explain lmao.
