Pietersen Should Shoulder Blame For His Sacking

Most fans are of the view that it is the English management that at fault because they handled Pietersen poorly. I think the batsman, as good as he is and as much as I like watching him, that is responsible for his demise. The authorities ran out of patience.

Maybe, after trying for a long time, England has simply given up on KP. He has been involved in a number of serious disagreements with coaches and captains and teammates. Peter Moores, Andrew Strauss, Andy Flower, and Alastair Cook have all had conflicts with the mercurial batsman and it should be remembered that he was left out of the team during South Africa's 2012 visit after sending text messages to South African players criticizing Strauss and even, allegedly, furnishing his opponents with tips to dismiss his captain. It was a time of crisis for England cricket and it was brought about by the same Kevin Pietersen who is again the subject of endless cricket chatter. Reflecting on that trying period, Straus wrote in Driving Ambition:
"The nagging frustration I still have is that all of that time, effort and commitment from our players over a three-year period to make our environment special and different was undermined in one episode."
Pietersen Axe: Is Management to be blamed

I would defnitely understand if he was sacked after textgate, but what is the point of going through all the reintegration process and then dropping him off for the sake of a scape goat.
Especially without official clarification from both ECB and KP we cant judge definitely who is at fault, but from what has filtered out seems all KP did was voice his opinion in a confidential player meeting.

Kp definitely is no angel ,he was too lucky to escape textgate, but its more of his old record catching up with him than his present behavior.

He has been a repeat offender. How many chances should he get. Yes, text gate was bad and he was lucky to have survived but that is why he should be careful to stay in line since he got away with murder before. He has been the constant in many of the conflicts that have happened around the team.

Its more like he got away for murder ,but got life sentence for parking offence:D
The only guys that got the best of him were vaughn and fletcher

I totally agree that KP should shoulder some of the blame, no doubt about it but at the same time the ECB have handled this situation very, very poorly. What with all the stories coming out from the england dressing room of secret meetings, of players like Cook and Prior backing down from speaking out against Flower whereas KP opened his big mouth, which is often the case.

I think KP became the victim of his own arrogance and ability to say it how it is. It's a great loss.
