Planet Cricket's Favourite Cricket Player 2015

AB as he is way overpraised, cant stand it when people treat him like he is the best at everything

As a batsman he is really good especially at test level can play according to situation, one of the best around, as captain i agree he is really over enthusiastic.

I also like De kock but he is still to stabilize, there are times when he is making runs for fun like in the A teams now, but then suddenly goes through drought, still has to prove a bit in test level, but certainly young and one to watch for.

Also ya Abbbot anyday ahead of philander for ODI's, he is incredibly good at death bowling also no slouch in long format either from the stats.

For me Imran Tahir (SA) and Dhammika Prasad(SL). Although nominations are closed but I feel Wahab Riaz should be among Pakistani nominees. Top 4 from Pakistan should be Younis, Wahab, Yasir and Sarfraz.

Wouldnt be AB as he is way overpraised, cant stand it when people treat him like he is the best at everything and I dont like the fact he brings himself on to bowl all the time.

He is the best fielder in the world. He's a good wicket keeper when needed. He's an outstanding test, ODI and T20 cricketer. He is without a shadow of a doubt the best batsman of his generation. So, he's not overpraised, if anything he's highly under rated. In modern day cricket, very few chaps can ADAPT like he can. He makes runs everywhere, against everyone and at critical times. There was Sachin Tendulkar that revolutionized batting in the 90's, there's AB de Villiers who's done it again. When someon like VIV Richards calls him the best batsman of his time, you know you're watching something quite special but more importantly unique.

He's a terrible captain and that's one thing he can't do. Not bad for a part timer, but I get your point.

still a tie at the moment - would ideally like to close this and start the bracket tonight :)

:saf:- Faf Du Plessis
:sri:- Tough to decide between Malinga and Mahela. I think I'll go with Malinga.
