For the 2nd test between Pakistan and India starting tomorrow (21th January) Planetcricket.net will be trialing a LIVE cricket service from Realisim.

Instead of traditional live scoreboards Realisim uses animations to provide an accurate live animation of every ball after every ball happens. This is great new watch to watch cricket if you dont have TV coverage and features all the statistics, scorecards, wagon wheels etc. as traditional live scoreboards but with the animations showing exactly where every ball goes.

More information about Realisim is available from the Realisim website and to see the live coverage which is shown as a normal forum page click here or on the Live button from the navigation bar.

We are trialing this service, please give any comments on it you have good or bad so we can decide if to use it for all matches.

Internet Exploror or IETab for Firefox is currently needed to use the service.

Would you mind if I used the text here for a quick article on my site about the service?

No course not. Can't promise the spelling is 100% right!

Apart from that it looks great. Updates are sometimes even before cricinfo updates. With this you can see where everyone stands. Even with the TV, you can't know for sure where everybody is on the field.

Yeah, I hear that. Cricinfo gets so slow at times. It's a great innovation, I recommend it to as many cricket fans as I can.

With such an quick update of the game with that software I have no complaints about the graphics.

But doesn't have commnetary co can't check what happened to the last few balls. Of course it will tell what was scored but a bit of description is always good. Also it didn't tell that the catch taken by Yuvraj Singh was out of the blues!! So IMO its alright but not that better than text commentary. Either ways nobody will spend time on internet watching at animations. We can keep it here at PC though, gotta have everything.
@ste- I was thinking a RSS feed or some sort of thing that enables a live text commentary here on PC would be a much better idea. One that keeps on going on all pages when selected while surfing thtrough PC.
