Player form on foreign tours

Hi all,

I have started a foreign tour. I am playing England on the sub-continent tour on hard level on the pc. I have a question about the player form "bars" on the team details screen.

Before the first game - test match against Bangladesh, all bars were on 3.

England won the game (after some disasterous 1st innings batting by me) by 7 wickets.

Now... all the English team that actually played in that game have batting form of 4. Does this mean that Butcher, who made 50+ in both innings is conidered to be in the same form as Vaughn, who made an edgy 12 in the first and had a 1st ball duck in the second?

With the bowlers, Giles who took 8 wickets in the match is still on 3, whereas Harmison, who also took 8 wickets as now on 1?

Any ideas on the above?

John.

i dont know mate, i have just started the same tour with england! I won by 2oo runs roughly! Ahley Giles took 10 wickets as well! When you bowl with steve harmison, how do you bowl cos i dont think im using him to his full ability! He was expensive but took 3 wickets in total!

Hi,
hard one to answer as the pitch gave no help at all! I tended to bowl cutters (A on the keyboard) with the seam / swing indicator over to the right. Sometimes quite short of a length where I managed to get some satisfying body hits in, and sometimes full, just outside off stump where he got 2 or 3 caught in the slips. I also varied the pace quite a bit, but not too many slower balls as these resulted in byes when bouncing twice before the keeper. Again, he was quite expensive, but a lot were my fault - no balls and mad leg-side wides. I need more practice!

What were your resulting form bars after the first match and how did they relate to your player's performances?

its an odd one, harmison to 3 wickets for me, anderson took 5, yet both their bars have gone down to 1, but giles who took 10 wickets has the bar full up!

I did use harmison and anderson for quite long spells maybe this has something to do with it?

What were the scores in your game for both teams?

Yeah could be fatigue related. Harmison and Caddick both bowled 2 sets of 7 / 8 over spells in each innings. Giles bowled more, but is a slow bowler so would not tire so quickly.

Innings scores were as follows: Bangladesh won toss and chose to bat on hot humid day with hard pitch.

Bangladesh: 186 all out

England: 97 all out (whoops. was still getting used to the controls)

Bangladesh: 96 all out

England: 186 for 3. (That's better!! Lost a silly wicket at the end. Hussein got carried away and lobbed to mid off.)

All batting form bars are now on 4.

i think the higher the batting bars the better
the lower the bowling bars the better

coz all my bowlers in my tours have performed extrememly well, and they have like 1 bar or no bars
