West Indies First Innings

The West Indies came out with a positie attitude, Morton taking 12 from the first over, Hinds scored 17 from 21 before being bowled by Arafat with the score on 38-1 from 38 balls.

, Morton went bowled by Arafat for 17(21) he had set the team a good base, with teh score on 47-2 275+ was still reachable lets hope the top order can convert.

The batters continued to score at a good pace and Lara and Sarwan pushed the score up to 81-3 from 14 overs before Lara went for only 17(16). This put pressure on the middle order and Lara for the second time had failed to bat well. With the score on 81-3 Sarwan, Chanderpaul and Khan will have to peform.

Chanderpaul came in and then got out prity quick, he looked nervous from teh word go and razzaq gave him a straight one that just knocked middel out the ground. With the score on 106-4 and Chanderpaul only getting 11 there was SERIOUS pressure on Khan, Samuels and Sarwan.

Khan came in adn he and Sarwan pushed the West Indies on with a fabulous partnership, both played good shots and took control of the bowling. Khan playing his ODI debut. 174 runs were added by these two and Sarwan eventually went for 125(138) a sign of a man who is on fire. He finally went caught behind off Mushtaq.

After Sarwan went another 13 runs were added in teh last 8 balls. West Indies reacehd 292-7 with Khan out on 79(88) and Sarwan 125 they were in with a big chance of winning

Pakistan First 17 overs

Atherton: Pakistan started well Farhat and Umar putting on a 64 run opening partenership before Hinds cleand up Farhat for 30, the two looked good although so far the medium pace of Wavell Hinds has been good and the batsmen will ahve to work against it. Then came in Younis Khan although only 22 runs were added before Khan went caught second slip by Mirton from the bowling of Wavell Hinds, after Hinds made only 17 with the bat his 2 wickets ahve made up for it so far. Umar is on 48* from 51 and is looking dangerous. For the Windies to win tehy need a few more quick wickets

Gower: Good afternoon and there are 10 overs remaining here in the West Indies VS Paksitan first one dayer, Taufeeq Umar led the Paksitan attack with 81 from only 78 balls. First to go after the last update was Inzamam who went for 18 from 16. He was LBW to Omari Banks. He left with the score on 127-3 and the pressure was on Pakistan.

Yousef came out with a huge weight on his shoulders and so far has played a great knock getting himself to 69*(67) he and Umar put on 59 runs before Umar went for 81 caught slip from the bowling of Dave Mohammed. This Left Razzaq and Yousef 107 runs at 5.9 from 18 overs. With 10 overs left they are still there and need 54 from the last 10. Mohammed and Lawson will share these overs as the game could go down to the wire

10 overs 54 to win

Hussain: With 10 overs remaining the Pakistanis need 54 to win with 6 wickets in hand with Yousef and Razzaq going well it looks as if they are favourites to win.

Razzaq goes for 34(28) caught in the slips off Lawson and that means 46 to win, Yousef next to go for 73 from 76 and such a great knock comes to no avail the remaining wickets pushing the score up to 272. After such a wonderful innings from Yousef and a solid agressive start from Umar they were unlucky to fall 20 runs short of the target. A gripping first game with Lawson the hero with 4-31 from 8.1 picking up 4 wickets in his last 13 balls. His bowling won the game for the West Indies and after such a good test series there is no doubt he will be up for player of the tour.

Good win for the windies sorry bout the poor presentation at the end will improve again

I Freddie Seccombe am sad to announce the cancellation of the Australian tour of West India. We have come to an agreement that so close to the World Cup this series would not be the right thing and have chosen to cancel it. We are sorry to have to do this but thats the way it has to be for the benefit of the playeers. Thankyou

INTRODUCTION

Alec Stewart: I am happy to be here in Lahore for the second one dayer of the series. After seeing the West Indians conquer in such a close opening game this one should be exilarating.

Pitch Inspection
Richie Benaud: The pitch looks good for battin and as the same in teh first game you will need big scores to win. As Gayle will return for the next game i think Morton will need to take advantage of the conditions to try and keep him in the side. BUT ALL I CAN SAY IS BAT BAT BAT/.......
Toss
Nicholas: Lara has won the toss and chosen to bowl, the reasons behind this are unknown he claimed the pitch woul dget harder and they wanted to be chasing. I personnally do not know why and Inzamamwas very happy with the decision.
Teams

The teams look different on only one side for the second ggme. The Pakistanis have named and unchanged line up to teh first test. The Wesst Indians have made one change, Omari Banks getting dropped for the first time on tour bringing in big hitting all rounder Dwayne Bravo. The lack of changes is unsurprising both teams playing as strong as they can. Gayle will be back for the next game and will be dangerous as always. Quick runs and wickets the key. The first 25 overs will be vital.

Paksitan Innings

Crawford: The first 10 overs showed maybe Lara had made the right decisions, Taufeeq Umar and Younis Khan both went with the score on 30-2 after 8 the West Indies were on top. Farhat and Inzamam played very well togethor putting on 103 to rise the Pakistanis to 133-3. Although they played well neither got to 100 Inzamam(54) was ct deep by Hinds facing the bowling of Bravoa dn Farhat(57) was LBW to the bowlnig of Hinds. The last 7 wickets only put on a minor 58 runs, Razzaq and Akmal the only players to get over 10 meaning 6 players had not got to double figures and only 2 had got over 20. 191 ALL OUT and on a batting track it seemed easy for the Widnies to run home.

Sorry for no screenshots they will be there for Windies innings only, as it takes a lot of innings to do both,
