First U need to have 3dfx cards like s3 trio 3d ,s3 virge to play with 3dfx button

when you are in other options,(in XP system)
when it gets stuck at loading screen do this: hold alt button on keyboard then press f4 button
then, move your mouse over start button and click on it once ,a popup window will popup
then, click on control panel if u see in that popup
then, a new window will open up named control panel.If it doesnt open then u dont have administrative rights.So U shud login as admin before doing this.So shut down the computer (u can do it from start button) and turn it on again.Now system loads as usual.Now login with administator ID and password and follow my second and third steps and then fourth which iam writing now.
then, click on sounds,speaker, and audio devices in control devices
then, select sound and audio devices
then, now half of the work is over .we just have change some setings now.
then, can u see speaker settings?in that click on advanced with mouse
then, u shud see speaker setup,If u cant see it then u are doing something wrong pls read the steps again
then, click on performance which u can see in the top of that window
then, now u shud see the text 'hardware accelaration'.Right to it there is one slider system .I will tell you how to operate the slider system.place your mouse (not mouse its the cursor which u see on monitor) over the green cloloured slider gently and hold it for some time,now move the mouse slowly with hand towards left,after sometime the slider will stop moving.then remove the hand from the mouse.
then, now dont click on "ok' button.this is the general mistake people do.first click on "apply' button then click on 'ok' button
then, now u can turnoff the sytem and turnon
now play the game at good settings
Note: ignore the above steps if you are on windows 98
Also Backup your settings before doing this as it might damage your sound system
