Does it install normally? Any strange occurrences?

Either your HDD is a dudd, or your XP disc is a dudd.

Try another HDD. It corrupted in the first place, I'd suggest it is Fubar'd.

What is the 1st boot device in BIOS?
change it to Hard-disk, and see if the situation improves.

Otherwise, it could be a faulty HDD or (bleak chances), RAM. Remove one RAM stick at a time and try booting the computer.
Also, If you have onboard graphics, you might want to temporarily remove the GFX card just in case its the cause of the problem.

I think that this installation is corrupt or bad HDD
