PS2 (Gnie) BLIC 2007 BIGBAG.dat Extractor

This is intended for those who may wish to further patch the PS2 Game BLIC 2007

(NOTE: if you are a Noob/Beginner then this is not intended for you but if you want to have a go Learn how to Make/Extract/Rebuild ISO, GO, read about, and then come back)

Before you use this tool you should have extracted BIGBAG.DAT from you BLIC 07 PS2 Iso and make sure you have enough space on your HD
eg.
~3.14gb for ISO
~1.21gb for BIGBAG.DAT
~1.21gb for possible new BIGBAG.DAT
=
~7.0gb+ (to be safe although everyones already got loads more i guess)

DOWNLOAD
http://www.sendspace.com/file/l723qa
and extract rar contents and double click
Xpert(.exe)

Notes Correspond with Numbers on Picture Below!

1. Select The BLIC 2007 PLugin as shown

2. Open up BIGBAG.DAT (extracted from ISO by you earlier)

3. Extract LBA (this is a file order/location type list)

4. Extract File (this will extract all the files that you may want to patch, to a folder)
------Patch/Modify files AT THIS STAGE-------
--------LIST of Files Extracted Are in a text----
http://www.sendspace.com/file/u3idvu

Baggi Studio Beta.exe can be used to open most
of these but bear in mind deciphering is at a
very early stage still
---------------------------------------------

5. Rebuild File (this will make a new BIGBAG.DAT which now includes your patched files)

6. Rebuild LBA (The File location/order may have changed therefore LBA to be updated too)

------THE END-----
because you already know how to insert this new BIGBAG.DAT file into your iso
Clue Click pic for one way of extracting/rebuilding iso

ALL CREDIT to Gnie
(NOTE: PS2 should be able to play backup DVD's)
(NOTE: PC compatibility does not guarantee PS2 Compatibility)
(NOTE: Try to keep any Pics the same dimensions/depth as the original, because they may not work correctly in PS2 -where they would have worked in PC)

Enjoy

ive already done it with a .ppf mate check this thread here....
http://www.planetcricket.org/forums/showthread.php?t=31924
i did not use the method above to do this as the file rebuild would have meant too many file location changes and therefore a ppf file of about 1 gb never the less i am playing with my ps2 patched correctly with the method in this link
.

well maybe but not yet....the .bag files extracted from BIGBAG.DAT can be opened with baggi studios....these all appear to contain .tex files which can be extracted further...

however at present there is no way for me to get the image files contained within these .tex files and possibly will be none unless someone else with more expertise steps in and helps

in baggi studios there is an option for converting dds to png , what we need is a similar function for convert tex to png. (i have tried extracting and changing file name to dds then trying to convert it with no luck - it just says no preview available, so they might be decrypted somehow or just slightly different to the pc version)
