Does anyone use this?? its a new P2P music sharing software

ive downloaded it but can seem to work out how to search for music

id like to point out that it is entirly legal and is supported by almost every major label and only shares music which it legally can so this doesnt need to get closed

www.qtrax.com, but it seems to be down at the moment, i downloaded off it a few hours ago so it should be up again soon

only went live on monday, apparently it has over 25 million songs for free legal download and no virus or trogans etc, but i just cant get it to find a single song, by anybody lol, just wanted to know if anyone else had gotten it working yet

i know lol, it was a few hours ago but isnt now, im thinking that may be why i cant download anything off there software

Yeah, I downloaded it on Tuesday, when it came out, and I've been having the same problem as you in regards to searching the music. It says on wikipedia that they haven't enabled the music yet as they are trying to secure the licenses.

cheers, hope its up and running soon as i cant see them having a problem getting the licences, they make money from advertising and give a share to the record labels, if they dont get the licences then people just download illegally, at lease with qtrax the labels will make some money, and the more tracks they have, the more people will use it, the more they can charg for advertising, the more money the labels make

It missed this milestone for unspecified reasons. As of 29 January 2008, the client is available for download, but music downloads are currently disabled. Qtrax has claimed that the service had 61,000 unique users per hour between the hours 7AM and 1PM EST, averaging 1,464,000 unique users per day.[14] The press release also suggests that the disabled download/P2P functionality will be activated at a later date by means of a special key.
