how many of you are successful in bowling the reverse swing delivery with fast / medium fast bowlers?

I've bowled it, seemed more effective than normal swing but Siddle was fearless and bowling at 97 mph and against the tail, so I don't know how much can be read into it.

I have played this game since release and never been able to get reverse. They should allow the ball to reverse earlier for 2020 and ODIs,

The only reason the innings lasted so long was because I was going for the 10 wicket victory achievement and I wouldn't let them get out because they didn't have enough runs. I think I dropped 4 or 5 catches on purpose that innings.

this thing should also be enabled in t20 cricket
can they do something for it in the coming patch for pc ?

I think they're looking into reducing the required wear for reverse swing. To be totally realistic, the outfield type, along with the ball manufacturer, would affect the age at which the ball reverses, but I don't think this will be done in a patch - something for next time.

agreed, that would be a bit too detailed for a patch. They really should allow the ball to reverse in the 17th-20th over of a test and in the 40th overs of an ODI.

People like Gul have been able to reverse the ball that early, majority of people play limited overs cricket in AC09 and reverse swing is never even available.

The key is working out why it's variable. Consensus is that dry conditions favour wearing of the ball, but you can hardly model those freak moments where no one is really certain of the explanation. Bowler quality does already factor in, but you want to shy away from a completely random effect. The strength of the digital realm is in the control over conditions. You're better off with an unrealistic model that is fair and playable than one that is just annoying and tedious.

In theory after the patch the innings should be lasting longer for the AI anyway, because they won't go mental, so there should be more chance to reverse it

well
i dont understand
waqar younis also had this quality that he can get the ball to reverse swing
i never heard he had to wait for 50-55 overs ...so yea
this feature is not tht logical
still
i want to use tht thing no matter what
its in the game so i want to make a use of it

last yr ishant and zaheer were reversing against us in the first 20 :| :help

Ashes 2009 wants everybody to have realtime experience but wen u sit in front of a PC and play cricket you will not be patient enuf to wait for 40 overs for a reverse swing. Thats not rational. Instead they would have given an option to shine the ball one side as much till it reverses. Still reverse swing is the best thing in this game and i enjoy it with players like zaheer, johnson, pathan
