Hi Guys,

This thread should be dedicated to all the questions regarding the gameplay, career players, new ball, wicket taking or run scoring in BLIC. Use this thread for future questions instead of opening a new thread everytime. People having BLIC will try to give an answer if possible in due time.

New Ball & Run Rate
What can you do when your in a Test match against India. There 88-4 after 98 overs. 98 blasted overs. It's so boring

Is there anything I can do apart from carrying on like I am at the moment :crying

What's the best thing to do with a new ball. Against India I gave it to Harmison and Flintoff but nothing came of it. Would I be better giving it to a spinner next time :cool:

1) Well the test match will go on for 5-days that way . Till now you can try out the BLIC player editor and turn up the skills of the batsmen to make them more attacking perhaps.

2) Always try to do different things when bowling. Use fast bowlers and spinners, be it the new ball or an 80-over old ball. It also depends on the pitch a bit. The best time to get batsmen out is early on when they are not set.

Why does the AI bat so slow.. i mean it doesnt take singles.. and the match gets boring really quickly especially a 50 over game??

I find a 50 over game goes well after the half way mark.

Yeh Hariz it's true, it does make it go all the way.

As for the new ball, next time I'll give it to Giles and see what he can muster up

That only works sometimes, i maxed out Ponting's stats and all he does is block the balls.

Yeh tendulkar did it in both innings against me.

20 off 298 balls is too slow even for 5 days. I ended up getting them all out for 92 after they were 88-4 as I said above

Don't max all the stats out. I left the stats for most batsmans ranging 70-90 and i am enjoying the game now and its much more challenging. Now I have to get wickets by bowling good length deliveries with variation. The AI now reachers realistic totals such as 300-450 and also score at pretty decent run rate in excess of 3 an over. My suggestion is to set a field like a real cricket match. I would usually place 3 slips in and a gully, short fine leg, mid on, deep backward square leg, cover and a mid on.

i dont put too much people in the in-field or my game lags because of system specs, i got a decent 3 ghz P4 but a crappy old 9200SE. I run the game on the 640x480 (75hz) and everything else on lowest as possible, shadows and crowds on. My Hayden hit 3 boundaries even when i'm bowling and he's stats are maxed out but doesn't work with Ponting.

Can anyone tell me how can i change the legnth of a delivery after setting the cursor, i want keyboard controls.

I'm on the xbox, but seen as Blackwell is in the ODI team is there any chance I can simply change him to the test team or will I need to edit him all Same with Strauss as he isnt in the ODI team :crying

You must use the BLIC player editor to copy/paste them onto any other players in the test and odi teams. I think that means you to edit him all I am afraid :onpc or use any other rosters, which have correct players.

I know theres a ton of patches out for BLC already....but will there be a stats patch released somehow? Not sure if its the right place to post this, but then again I am asking a Q so i suppose its fine :P
