Commentator Grybas dies, aged 32

Prominent Melbourne based sports presenter, Clinton Grybas has died at the age of 32.

The cause of his death is yet to be determined, but he was found unconscious this morning.

Clinton Grybas had worked for the ABC, Foxsports and 3AW, and was named best sports presenter in the Commercial Radio Industry awards last year.

General manager of 3AW, Graham Mott, says his co-workers became worried when Grybas did not turn up for work this morning.

He said Grybas was due on air at midday today, but usually shows up two hours early.

"When he didn't turn up at ten o'clock they thought maybe he's having a bit of a sleep in, and when he wasn't there at 11, they got a bit concerned," he said.

"They made calls to the apartment and no answer, they tried contacting his girlfriend and she said that he was actually at home so that caused them to be even further concerned."

After getting no answer on the phone, they called the manager of his apartment building.

"That apartment building manager entered Clinton's apartment and found him unconscious on the floor, and then I'm told that he was taken to the Epworth, and was pronounced dead," he said.

An autopsy will be conducted to find his cause of death.

Holy crap, he was my favourite AFL commentator/personality and on the rise in the media industry. Cant believe it!!! :(

Far out. The best on Foxtel. He will be missed.

shocking news. He was one of the best commentators in the AFL by far. He will be missed. R.I.P Clinton

Sad for everyone into AFL. When I first heard about it I thought he was a lot older than 32.

My favourite commentator by far. Was awesome on White Line Fever and made listening to the footy very enjoyable.

Rumours are that he fell over sleep walking.

yeah apparently had alot of trouble when he was younger with sleep walking. And yeah, fell over or slipped while sleep walking, and died in hospital. Just the question is, what did he hit, to cause him to die

It's certainly a shame to see him go. I have to admit, he wasn't my absolute favourite commentator, but he was pretty good for Fox Sports, and to see him die at a such a young age is certainly a tragedy.

Watched his funeral yesterday, pretty sad. Was weird to see Rex Hunt get really emotional at the end of his speech. I hate funerals :(

Yeah, I think Rex was very close to him. He really broke down in that last sentence. "And now I know how it feels to lose a friend".
