On form yes but very disorienting to do it before a home World Cup when you’re defending champions.

Hope they give it to Maxi then. MMarsh’s fitness concerns means I’d rather prefer the former.

Another one of those Indian players who started off well but somehow could not utilize the potential to fullest.

The 2010 IPL is what I will always be fond of the way he used to finish games off for RCB.

Had a good running during mid 2010s with KKR. Also remember him for chasing that one ODI vs England where Mascharenhas hit Yuvi for 5 sixes in a row.

Now that he is gone,
It's perfect time for CSK to bring back a youngster like Murali Vijay to open the innings.

Unfortunately I did not follow Uthappa's run in the Indian colours. Thanks to Star Sports for showing those highlights of 2007 NatWest ODI Series & 2008 CB Series Tri-Series Finals due to which I got to know what this guy was capable of!

More so his dream run with the KKR during 2014-16 would forever be etched in the memories of the fans!
