Banner looks nice, adding effects on text would be good. But if you do that for text then use same effects over the side cuts.

Avatar is not good. You got everything wrong except text variation but its placement, background doesn't seem proper. Learn about using curves, levels and lightning with brush. Follow some tuts and follow others' works sometime, until you improve.

Please don't mention me now onwards. I'll try to comment regularly in you thread. But still don't again.
