For some reason it doesn't really work properly, anyone know how to fix it?

Lmao, I tried the Lasso Tool :(.

Not sure,Is that happening by itself when you use the pen tool? You need to make the selections by clicking after regular intervals so that the area you want is selected.

Well when I try to outline it just does it on its own.

Not exactly sure what your last post mean't.

I just wanted to know if you outlined that youself by mistake or is it is happening on its own.

Anyway try using the polygonal lasso tool then.

It looks like when you click you are holding the button down too long or moving the mouse while clicking.

Not any of those. Lasso tool doesn't look that good though.

I tried clicking and it ends up becoming an irregular triangle on the 3rd click.

The ratio of width to height remains same though.

If you are using Adobe Photoshop 6.00 , when you the Image size box is opened, you will find an option called Constrained Proportion which is checked by default. If you uncheck it you can resize it to height and width of your size without maintaining the same ratio.

I don't know whether this thing works on other photoshop versions. But it should.

Yes that is the case for all photoshop versions, but if you change the aspect ratio of the image by altering just the one, it will stretch the image to fit the new ratio and it will look odd, especially if the image is a person. Also a tip here when using the scale option is to click the chain icon inbetween the X and Y co-ordinates and resize by dragging one of the corners, this way the image ratio remains fixed also.

I know why because u need to select the free hand pen tool which is at the top bar next to the pen tool and it has a wave line coming from it

Ahh, that was the problem.

One more thing though...

This may seem a little noobish but it still isn't working properly.

Are you talking 'bout the chain? If it's the one left to the chain then it doesn't work.
