Slow game please help

Hey guyz

m new on this forum. m playing EA cricket05 on my laptop. The prob i am facing is that, after starting any match, the game speed slows down a loooot. It feels like as if everything is going on in Slow motion. This happens even if I am using the laptop on the AC power.

My config is as below

P4 1.7 MHz, 1GB RAM, RADEON x300 graphics card.

I used to play this game a lot some dayz back, on the same machine, and it used to work absolutely fine. All of a sudden this prob has started occuring...Even if I keep the graphics details to least, with shadows OFF, it doesnt help.

I have gone through all the threads about the same on this forum but none of the solutions helped. So please let me know, if any of you was able to solve this probs,

i've got the same laptop! similar configurations.

R50 IBM thinkpad, 2.2 Ghz, 1 GB RAM, 60 gb HDD, 64mb Mobility radeon x300. It runs very very slow.

I tried few things, didn't work. Try x!speed. it did not work on mine, it might on yours.
