I need help bowling them, everytime that I try to it seems that I am pushing the down legside alot. Help will be appreciated.

Generally, a lot of youngsters slower balls tend to be cutters, which are effective as the deception of a slower ball is good enough, but a slow cutter is even better.

Best thing to do is to try to bowl slower off a shorter run up, then get longer and longer until you hit your full run up. Then try an over, and add a slower ball in it.

To bowl a slower ball I tend to find releasing it a little early works well!

Acutally, you don't really need to Push or spin the ball lightly or smoothly, it all depends "All on your hand power", And yes, bowlers like irfan pathan, Ian Bradshaw usually do it with general seam, up-right and Pace slowed down..

You can recently view the Bowlers like ishant sharma, Zaheer Khan doing it brilliantly, hope in the 2nd Test match Against Sri Lanka..

What slower ball do you use? Split finger ones do tend to go down the legside, so either come wider of the crease or just aim for offstump. They are useful as they bounce more. The back of the hand one actually comes out wide of offstump for me. It's a bit of a hassle as it comes out fuller than intended, but it bounces nicely as well. Just drag it short and aim for offstump.

Otherwise, just roll your fingers over it, like they said. Very handy.

Trick is to not make it too slow, or its too easy to pick up.

Just bowl with the same action, dont slow it down, and roll your fingers down one side of the ball. Thats the basic way to do it, but there are heaps of other ways - out the back of the hand, holding the ball back in the palm, holding only one side of the ball in the palm, split finger ball etc
