1) Cricket without DRS still works great.

2) The Gap between Associate Nations and Test Teams is not as wide as people would have you believe.

3) T20 is not about the Batsman. Most of the wins were thanks to Bowlers.

4) Spin bowling is not finished yet.

5) Mountain 'Dew' will never sponsor a cricket series.

6) Don't make WI angry.

7) There is a 100% sure-shot, guaranteed to work way to keep Virat Kohli from scoring runs - Keep him at the non striker's end.

8) T20 is not really for grandpas after all - Australia take note.

9) WI have completed the transition from producing only quality Pacers to now consistantly producing Spinners.

10) Bangladesh can host a tournament by themselves, can't say the same about being able to play by themselves.

11) KP issues always hangs over the England team before a World T20.

12) Surprisingly Indian end innings bowlers aren't the worst death bowlers in the world, Jade Dernbach is.

13) Oh Yes! Don't make WI angry.

14) Suresh Raina can play the short ball (atleast on sub-continent pitches).

15) World T20 doesn't really feel like a world cup after all, more like a T20 version of Champs Trophy. There is only one real Cricket world cup - Cricket 50 Overs One

Feel free to add more.

In T20 yea it isn't that big, but of course in the other formats its massive. T20 format is in which associates can have a serious impact vs the major nations & is why the ICC needs to utilize T20 properly to grow the game worldwide.

Yea, although I still think WI have some good fast bowlers around that are injured or due to selection blunders was not seen in this tournament such as Roach, Holder & Taylor.

Also ha, while one might say "dont make the WI angry" I doubt they could repeat that kind of performance if sledged in a ODI/Test match.

Their strength is T20 cricket & AUS basically picked on them in the wrong format.

I don't think I agree that the gulf is small in T20 only. Even in test matches, I wouldn't think against the likes of B'Desh and Zimbabwe, I would put the likes of Ireland, Afghanistan, or Holland to lose a 5 match series 5-0. I may even add WI to that list. Against the two weakest test nations, I think whatever be the format the top Associate nations would hold their own. I know Afhganistan had a poor T20, but then they had a super Asia Cup. Almost beat Pakistan, did beat B'Desh.

I did mention in that actual thread for this tournament, that West Indies wasted all their energy on Australia. The way they celebrated, it gave people the impression that they were ready to go up there and grab the cup. I wanted them to lose because I felt most of it was just drama (I mean, it was meaningless).

Well yea the gap between the certain associates like Ireland, Afghan, Netherlands is certainly not that far of BANG & ZIM.

Nah, the way they beat PAK in the final group game, showed that they didn't waste all their energy vs AUS.

WI did not get to final because of the weather & their age old achillies heel of inability to rotate strike in the middle overs. Sammy & Bravo probably could not have been depended on to slog them to victory/setting good totals in every game.

I disagree... they had plenty left to hammer Pakistan, also I think they were a little bit unlucky with the rain. We know their strength in all their wins was the last 5 overs and sadly the rain deprived them of that. For all you know they would have rebuilt a bit and then Sammy carry them over.

I know there is no point talking about it now, but I think that they were not as Aus-obsessed as you accuse them of having been :)
