Glad to see that this series is televised on Sky. I look forward to watching the likes of Vettori and Fleming and maybe even Bond if he isn't injured again.

I will be going to that test at Jade. I havn't been to a test here either. Hopefully its a good one and can get me back most days. It is a shame we don't have anywhere better, a nice place in the sun which is a bit bigger gound size wise. I will definatly be at the ODI!!! The last SL ODI was great at Jade. Infact all the ODI's I have been to at Jade have been the best ODI's we have played. The Aussie one, a world record at the time, the SL game which was pretty close where Cairnsey hit one onto the roof in one of his last games and the West Indies game where Astle took 'that catch' on the boundary and hit 3 sixes off the last 3 balls of the match.

Should be good! We always produce good pitches. Havn't had a test here in ages!

Bond won't be injured again lol. His bad luck must have come to a close.

New Zealand still play test cricket? :p

Seriously though, I think its ridiculous how little cricket the Kiwis get to play. Must be tough for the fans. Lankans have to be favorites going in.

I think thats why i have such interest in other teams international cricket, we just have such a dirth of international cricket here. And our players still get injured!?

I will be going to the last 1 dayer in Hamilton. Hopefully the have got the pitch right for it, as it has a tarnished reputation going back to the SA tour with the illfated "crater" in the pitch.

was classic watching Vettori get one hitting the lip, for the briefest of moments i thought i was watching Warney! :P

Also i feel this tour by SRL will be awesome, because the SRL's have stepped it up quite a few notches since there last tour here (the one interrupted by the terrible Tsunami). In fact i would go so far to say that we might struggle.

But hopefully our home advantage will help!

This will be a real test for SL as they usually struggle when they come to NZ. Hopefully both series are good as it does get boring seeing the Kiwis bowl the opposition out for under 200.

Haha, that was the best test ever. I will never forget. What was the crater? 2.5 cellphones long?

My squad for the first Test.

Stephen Fleming (c)
Daniel Vettori (vc)
Nathan Astle
Peter Fulton
Shane Bond
Kyle Mills
James Franklin
Chris Martin
Brenden McCullum
Matthew Sinclair
Jacob Oram
Jeetan Patel
Lou Vincent
Hamish Marshall

Batting order something like this

Vincent
Sinclair
Fleming
Fulton
Astle
Oram
McCullum
Vettori
Franklin
Mills
Bond

The opening spots are still a little inexperianced and a weakpoint, but at least these two have sucess there in the past. How is another candidate. I would also very strongly consider McCullum and Vincent opening and bringing in Marshall.

It's a hard side to pick. Because Marshall had a fantastic county season in England in the longer form.
