Yesterday I went to a computer shop, "future shop", and I was looking for Counter Strike and a guy told me that if I buy Half Life 2, I can get counter strike using the cd key of half life 2. Is that true??

IIRC CS comes with HL2 so it uses the same key.

Yea doesn't look like it has CS, the pack I got was the collector's edition which had CS and HL1.

No, the retail copy of HL2 comes with CS. Steam versions differ. Should've gotten the Orange Box anyway, Counter-Strike is so old hat.

It is worth typing in the cd key of any game you own that fits with those requirements, sometimes you may get extra games you didn't know about or had lost the discs for.

I actually bought it before reading Sylvester's post and it doesn't have Counter Strike. I am trying to sell it off now
